On July 22, 2012 at 14:40:46 UT NASA SDO observatory photographed a gigantic UFO Mothership near Sun.

Below photograph was later made available publicly via Helioviewer.org (Screenshot of page at bottom)

Sinkhole or Entrance To An Underground World On Mars?

Stunning photo taken by Oribiter's HIRISE instrument shows a hole about 35 metres across.

A visible shadow shows an underlying cavern believed to be about 20 metres deep.

The hole was discovered by chance on images of the dusty slopes of the Red Planet's Pavonis Mons volcano.

It appears to be an opening to an underground cavern, partly illuminated to the right of the opening.

As NASA explains, "Holes such as this are of particular interest because their interior caves are relatively protected from the harsh surface of Mars, making them relatively good candidates to contain Martian life.
These pits are therefore prime targets for possible future spacecraft, robots, and even human interplanetary explorers."

This is not the first time, HIRISE has photographed a strange opening on Mars. A few years ago, scientists discovered a giant hole that measures about 330 feet (100 meters) in diameter and is located to the northeast of Arsia Mons, one of the largest volcanoes on Mars.

Scientists think the holes could be entrances to underground Martian caves.

]Black spots have been discovered on Mars that are so dark that nothing inside can be seen. 
Quite possibly, the spots are entrances to deep underground caves capable of protecting Martian life, 
were it to exist. The unusual hole pictured above was found on the slopes of the giant Martian volcano Arsia Mons. 
The above image was captured three weeks ago by the HiRISE instrument onboard the Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter currently 
circling Mars.

According to experts studying the MRO's images, the feature is not an impact crater; it lacks a circular, raised or ejecta. 
The hole's darkness is impenetrable because of its sufficient depth, so any details of the terrain inside it, cannot be seen.

The hole measures about 330 feet (100 meters) in diameter and is located to the northeast of Arsia Mons, one of the largest volcanoes on Mars.

US military to launch hypersonic rocket plane by 2016

The U.S. military aims to fly a full-scale rocket plane at 20 times the speed of sound by 2016, officials announced last week.

The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency, or DARPA, laid out its plan to develop and test-fly the hypersonic vehicle in a press release issued Friday (July 6). The so-called X-plane would travel at Mach 20 — roughly 13,000 mph (20,900 kph) — allowing the military to reach any spot on the globe in less than an hour.

Further, the vehicle would be "recoverable," according to the release — meaning the government could get it back.

To help make all this happen, DARPA has started up a new program called Integrated Hypersonics. IH will build off previous Defense Department research into ultra-fast flight but will need to make some major strides of its own, officials said.

Thermal protection systems are a key requirement for hypersonic flight, which is traditionally defined as anything above Mach 5. Vehicles zooming through the atmosphere at Mach 20 experience temperatures in excess of 3,500 degrees Fahrenheit (1,927 degrees Celsius), DARPA officials said — hot enough to melt stainless steel.

Astonishing sonar images of what looks like a Star Wars-style UFO could be a top secret Nazi weapon from World War II, naval experts have revealed.

The pictures - taken 300ft under the sea bed off the Swedish coast - seemed to show an object that's a dead ringer for Hans Solo's Millennium Falcon space ship from the sci-fi movies.

But now former Swedish naval officer and WWII expert Anders Autellus has revealed that the structure - measuring 200ft by 25ft - could be the base of a device designed to block British and Russian submarine movements in the area.

"The area was vital to the German war machine because most of the ball bearings for its tanks and trucks came from here. Without them the German army would have ground to a halt," explained one expert.

"This device dwarfs anything ever found before and is an important weapons discovery," they added.

Explorer Stefan Hogeborn - who is studying the images for the Ocean X diving team - agreed: "It is a good candidate for the answer to this mystery. The object lies directly underneath a shipping route."

"It would be of enormous weight in steel and concrete. Other Nazi anti-sub anchoring devices were nowhere near as large," he added.

Lockheed Martin: Planes Could Be Refuelled By Ground-Based Lasers

Stalker is a small, silent UAS used by Special Operations Forces since 2006 to perform intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance missions.

“We’re pleased with the results of this test. Laser power holds real promise in extending the capabilities of Stalker,” said Tom Koonce, Lockheed Martin Skunk Works® Stalker program manager. “A ground-to-air recharging system like this allows us to provide practically unlimited flight endurance to extend and expand the mission profiles that the Stalker vehicle can fulfill.”

The Stalker UAS was modified for the indoor flight test to incorporate LaserMotive’s proprietary system that makes it possible to wirelessly transfer energy over long distances using laser light to provide a continual source of power to the UAS. At the conclusion of the flight test, held in a wind tunnel, the battery on the Stalker UAS had more energy stored than it did at the beginning of the test. The test was concluded only because the flight had already surpassed the initial endurance goals set by the team.

“This test is one of the final steps in bringing laser-powered flight to the field,” said Tom Nugent, president of LaserMotive. “By enabling in-flight recharging, this system will ultimately extend capabilities, improve endurance and enable new missions for electric aircraft. The next step in proving the reality of this technology is to demonstrate it outdoors in an extended flight of the Stalker.”

In the middle of a field, away from any road or roads. Flashing lights and energy, totally different to any type of light known to us.
