For some reason, Washington Redskins tight end Fred Davis continues to answer questions about his failed drug test last December after testing positive for marijuana. Davis got on D.C. radio station 106.7 and tried to explain his infractions.
"See the thing is, people are mistaken what that was about and they don't really know the whole story to that," said Davis. "It wasn't failed drug tests in a row. See, thats the thing about it. I don't try to get into it, because people are all 'You failed a drug test repeatedly.' No, they test you every week. So how is wee gonna be out of your system? It's set up for you to fail."
Because of legal reasons, we won't ever know the full details surrounding Davis' drug suspension, but nine other players tested positive for marijuana at the start of last season's training camp, and none were disciplined.
